Tomorrow morning we hit the road, our first Justice Kitchen event is that evening in Phoenix, AZ. We are being hosted by Trinity Mennonite Church, where author Shane Hipps is the pastor. Our first stop is the Phoenix Public Market, where we hope to find the fresh produce we will use for Saturday’s meal.
We’ve found a few things to be helpful tools while traveling:
- GoogleMaps: Key for finding your way from one place to another and Street View makes it handy to get an idea of what landmarks to be looking for.
- Delocator: Helpful when looking for independent coffee shops in an area you’re unfamiliar with.
- Wi-Fi FreeSpot: Useful when looking for spots that’ll have free wifi when you roll into town.
- Healthy Highways: The Cobalt Season has used this on the road. They liked it so much that they bought us a copy!
- Local Harvest: Another handy tool for finding local, healthy food wherever you are.

J — Looking forward to the updates! I’m writing from Japan right now — it’s no Justice Kitchen tour, but it’s been a great ministry partnership already.
